Leadership Initiative
The DAC is encouraging as many teachers as are interested to start a student leadership program at their schools.

A student leadership program is an extracurricular group/club/program that is geared towards encouraging leadership values and skills among our students. The age/grade of the students obviously depends on your job and placement, and is one of the many aspects of the program that you would choose for yourself. A group can be community service oriented, performance (dance, drama, choral, etc) oriented, or just philosophically oriented. Leadership comes in many forms, and if you're interested in starting a leadership program, it definitely should be aligned with one's interests and passions. |
The DAC is eager to help any teachers starting a leadership program by supplying ideas and other resources. Funding will be soon be available to provide supplies for any projects that a leadership program might be interested in pursuing.
