DAC Stand Up, Clean Up Initiative
The Stand Up, Clean Up initiative is an effort to get as many students, teachers, and parents involved in improving the community as possible. Teach For America Corps Members throughout the Mississippi Delta are encouraged to host a Community Clean-Up day at their school with the support of the Delta Action Coalition. The DAC will provide the gloves and bags; all a teacher has to worry about is spreading the word about the clean-up day and work alongside motivated students as they make a real difference in their communities.
